The state continues to co-finance new storage enterprises
The Rural Development Agency continues to provide financial support for the establishment of new storage and processing enterprises this year as part of the Co-financing of Processing and Storage Enterprises project.
Within the framework of the state project, co-financing for new storage enterprises will amount to no more than 30% of the total project cost, but not exceeding GEL 350,000. The co-financing contribution may consist of personal funds as well as agro-credit/leasing.
The project provides additional benefits in cases where the storage enterprise is built in highland settlements or villages near the dividing line, as well as if the enterprise is established by an agricultural-status cooperative. In such cases, co-financing is determined at no more than 40% of the total project cost, still capped at GEL 350,000.
It is noteworthy that since the launch of the program, the creation of 270 processing enterprises and storage infrastructures has been co-financed with GEL 126.7 million, including the creation of 160 storage enterprises with GEL 75.7 million.
