Information Meeting on the State Agro Co-financing Program Held in Kvemo Kartli
At the meeting held in Marneuli, representatives of the Rural Development Agency provided local entrepreneurs and farmers with detailed information about the terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria of the State Agro Co-financing Program.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Rural Development Agency, Zurab Gozalishvili, the Delegate of Marneuli and Gardabani in the Parliament of Georgia, Zaur Dargali, the First Deputy State Representative in the Kvemo Kartli Region, Ioseb Alibegashvili, the Mayor of Marneuli, Daur Ismailov, and the Chairman of the Marneuli Municipal Council, Amiran Giorgadze.
The State Agro Co-financing Program is implemented by the Rural Development Agency. The program includes co-financing components for the establishment of primary production, processing and storage enterprises, as well as facilities intended for the slaughter of food-producing animals (slaughterhouses). Within the framework of the program, preferential agrocredit is also available to finance fixed assets and working capital.
The program is available to registered individual entrepreneurs and legal entities engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
The total amount of the Agency's co-financing under the program is limited to no more than GEL 2 million. Farmers interested in establishing dairy farms benefit from separate conditions.
Within the framework of the program, the Agency's co-financing amounts to up to 50% of the total value of the submitted project. For agricultural cooperatives, as well as projects implemented in villages adjacent to the occupation line and in high-mountainous settlements, co-financing is available up to 55% of the total project value.
One of the mandatory prerequisites for participation in the State Program is registration in the Registry of Farms and Rural Enterprises.
Applications for the State Agro Co-financing Program are submitted electronically through the official website of the Rural Development Agency.
