Employees of the Rural Development Agency will be shared the successful experience of the activities of the Turkish Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSIM) by their Turkish colleagues
The trainings were opened by the Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Giorgi Avaliani, and the Coordinator of the Tbilisi Office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Salih Ozer.
Employees of the Rural Development Agency will familiarize themselves with the practices of the Turkish Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSIM), the impact of climate change on agricultural production, and the possibilities of risk management through the use of insurance systems.
The training will be conducted by the Head of the Agricultural Insurance Working Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, Seyfettin Guni, the Deputy Director of Crop Insurance of the Turkish Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSIM), Elif Bedir, and the Deputy Director of the Animal Life Insurance Department, Fatih Koja.
The training is implemented with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and aims to deepen knowledge in the field of agroinsurance and risk management in agriculture.
It should be noted that the state agroinsurance program has been implemented by the Rural Development Agency since 2014 and is an important supporting instrument for farmers in terms of protecting crops from climatic risks.
