From March 22 of this year until today, 8,651 preferential loans of 131,4 million Gel have been granted to promote the cultivation of annual crops
The purpose of the loans issued under the Preferential Agro Credit project sub-component of financing annual crops includes sowing and planting material of annual crops, pesticides, organic and mineral fertilizers, plant protection biologics, equipment, fuel and lubricants, and machinery.
The project can be used by individuals, citizens of Georgia, individual entrepreneurs registered in accordance with the legislation of Georgia, and legal entities registered in accordance with the legislation of Georgia (except for state / municipal enterprises).
The Rural Development Agency is co-financing a 12-month interest rate loan under the Preferential Agro Credit project subcomponent. The maximum annual interest rate of the loan is set at 18%, half of which, 9% per annum, is financed by the state. Under the project, the loan amount per beneficiary is set at GEL 5,000 to GEL 100,000.
Within the framework of the sub-component of financing the annual crops of Preferential Agrocredit, financial institutions will issue loans until October 31, 2022.
The purpose of the loans in the preferential agro-credit project is to reduce the cost of working capital for growing annual crops and to enable farmers to produce more quality agricultural products.
