With the support of the Rural Development Agency and USAID a new enterprise was launched in the Kakheti region

The director of Rural Development Agency – Davit Tsitladze and the director of USAID Office of Economic Growth – Michelle Koselski were in the newly opened enterprise in Sagarejo municipality, where started production of organic fertilizer. 

"Biovita" LLC, operating in Sagarejo municipality, invested 500,000 USD for creation of the organic fertilizer enterprise. The company benefited from the project of "Preferential Agrocredit" of Rural Development Agency and the grant of the USAID Rural Development Program. In the enterprise, where is produced 1,000 tons of fertilizer, 5 persons are employed. It should be noted, that "Biovita" LLC produces the organic fertilizer with raw materials obtained in Georgia and sells its products on the local market. 

Rural Development Agency implements the project of Preferential Agrocredit" since 2013.  Its goal is to provide farmers and entrepreneurs with cheap and affordable funds in order to promote the production processes of processing and storage of primary production of agriculture. Preferential agro-credit is available for the persons interested in agribusiness at any stage of development of the activities, whether it is the need for fixed or working capital.
