The Rural Development Agency is starting to receive applications to support beneficiaries affected by heavy snowfall

In the regions of Imereti and Guria, beneficiaries of the Rural Development Agency affected by heavy snowfall in February of the current year must apply to the Rural Development Agency for financial assistance from July 22 to November 30 of the current year.

Within the framework of the “Assistance Program for Farming Enterprises Affected by Heavy Snowfall in the Regions of Guria and Imereti,” applications are accepted at the central office of the Rural Development Agency, regional offices, and information-consultation centers. Applications can also be submitted via email at document@rda.gov.ge .

Financial assistance under the program will be provided to the beneficiaries of the “State Program for the Modernization of the Dairy Sector and Market Access,” the “Pilot Program for Women,” and the “Co-financing Program for Processing and Storage Enterprises.” Financial assistance is also envisaged for beneficiaries who have established a processing and/or storage enterprise, or a livestock (large or small ruminants) farm and/or greenhouse farm under the Preferential Agrocredit Project.

The program provides one-time assistance in the following amounts: 25,000 GEL for greenhouse farms; 40,000 GEL for livestock farms (small and/or large ruminants); and 100,000 GEL for storage and/or processing enterprises.

It is noteworthy that the Rural Development Agency provides co-financing only after the beneficiary fully restores the damaged facility.
