In village Bakurtsikhe, Gurjaani municipality, more than 70% of grape crops belonged to Aleksandre Mosulishvili was destroyed as the results of heavy hail. Viticulturist farmer is the beneficiary of State Agroinsuarance. Compensation for incurred loss will be paid to Aleksandre Mosulishvili by the Insurance Company “Aldagi” in amount of 26,500 GEL.

For purchase of insurance policy the beneficiary got 70% of co-financing (3,100 GEL) from state and sum paid by him for insurance of up to 3 ha area amounted to 1,328 GEL. 

“I call for farmers to take measures and insure the yield. All individuals involved in state program will get 70% of state co-financing for all crops provided by the program, including the vine” – Mr. Imeda Alkhazishvili, the Coordinator of Agroinsurance Program of Rural Development Agency, said. 

 Within the frameworks of Agroinsurance State Program, the insurance policy covers such insurance risks as hail, flood, storm and autumn frost (only for citrus crops – from September 1 till November 30 (inclusive)).

4,636 claims of the beneficiaries of Agroinsurance Program from Kakheti region were received by the insurance companies Since May 31 till June 30. 2,6761 ha area is damaged. Process of loss calculation by the representatives of insurance companies will be completed as soon as possible.
