The Manager of the Agro Insurance Programme of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, Mr. Levan Maghradze, visited Adjara region and met with beneficiaries and other local authorities. Mr Magradze inspected tangerine orchards and discussed interested details of the program . it is important that farmer, who shows desire in being part of this program , become fully aware of the benefits and conditions of the program before signing the contract explained Mr.Magradze.He also said,that Agriculture Project Management Agency will promptly react if any kind of problem occurs during this project. Program manager provided Kobuleti and Khelvachauri municipality farmers with full information about the benefits provided by the program. More than 3094 policies were issued in Adjara region . The insurance subsidy issued from State is estimated as 338,798 Georgian Lari . Overall 977 hectares of land is insured. The total cost of the insured crops is GEL 6,310,000 . 23.138 hectares of agricultural land is Insured, while the value of the insured crop amounted to 189,184,698 lari.
