New Dairy Processing Enterprise Opened in Gardabani within the frames of the Uniform AgroProject
TheA new dairy factory Teleti Cheese House Ltd, founded within the framework of the Uniform AgroProject - was opened by Mr. Giorgi Chkheidze, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia together with Mr. Grigol Nemsadze, the Governor of Kvemo Kartli region and Mr. Mamuka Kvaratskhelia, the Director of Agriculture Projects Management Agency.
The foundation of the enterprise has been funded within the frames of the Agricultural Production Processing and Storing New Enterprises Co-financing Project. The total investment implemented for this project amounts 366 010 USD, from which state co-financing amounts 146 404 USD.
The company produces variety kinds of cheese, including several types of seasoned cheese, for which it (the company) uses only the local raw materials. Products are designated for sale on the local market. The company employs 20 people.
The enterprise is designed to meet the requirements of food safety standards. The company plans to implement the International Food Safety System - HACCP with the support of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency.
165 new and more than 750 operating enterprises have been funded within the frames of the Uniform AgroProject implemented by the Agriculture Projects Management Agency. 20 new enterprises have been founded and 131 were re-equipped in Kvemo Kartli region.
The financial support of the state gave the entrepreneurs an additional push for development and expansion of their business. The Agriculture Projects Management Agency is implementing the Uniform AgroProject within the scopes of Produce in Georgia; the project is designed for long-term development and aims to promote competitiveness in agriculture and stable growth of high quality products.
