Programs within the scopes of the United Agro-Project introduced to Gori villages
Mr. Tengiz Khubuluri, majoritarian deputy of Gori region, along with the representatives of local authorities, the managers of the Agricultural Project Management Agency program and the Agricultural Cooperative Development Agencys representatives met the farmers.
At the meeting the managers of the Agricultural Project Management Agency delivered the full information on the programs Agro Insurance and Plant the Future to the farmers of Tkviavi and Variani villages of Gori region on the benefits envisaged by the programs and answered their questions. Within the scopes of the program Agro Insurance the beneficiary can take up to 5 hectares of land to insure. Each insurer will receive 70% co-financing for all cultures envisaged by the program while in case of vine it will be 50%.
The state co-financing capacity within the scopes of the program Plant the Future is the following:
In case of orchard arrangement - 70% of the cost of seedlings or 50% of the drip irrigation system value;
In case of arrangement of the nursery - 50% of the value of the nursery.
The state's financial support shall be the additional boost for the entrepreneurs for further development and expansion of their production. The Agricultural Project Management Agency is implementing the United Agro-Project within the scopes of the "Produce in Georgia for Fast Development; the Agro-Project is designed for long-term development and its goal is to foster an environment that will promote agricultural competitiveness, steady growth of high-quality production as well as implementation of the international food safety standards.
