Memorandum of Understanding Signed between Imereti Agrozone and Georgian Packaging Cluster (PMAG)
In order to implement joint cross-cluster projects, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Georgian Packaging Cluster (PMAG) and Imereti Agrozone Ltd.
The memorandum was signed by Archil Bukia, Director of Imereti Agrozone Ltd. and Zaza Mchedlishvili, Chairman of the Packaging Manufacturers Association of Georgia.
The Memorandum aims to deepen cooperation between packaging material manufacturers and companies operating in the greenhouse sector, implement joint projects and promote the introduction of modern technologies in the production of greenhouse packaging materials.
The Memorandum provides for joint research on topical issues for the parties and sharing of knowledge, skills and experience.
The Georgian Packaging Cluster (PMAG) is a UNDP-supported packaging materials cluster that brings together more than 40 companies to assist the packaging industry and its individual members and increase product competitiveness by enhancing collaboration at various stages of the value chain.
Imereti Agrozone Ltd. was established for the development of a greenhouse cluster with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The Greenhouse Development Project envisages the creation and development of high-, medium- and low-tech greenhouses, logistics and sales centers, processing enterprises and various ancillary businesses on 220 hectares in Tskaltubo and Baghdati municipalities.
