Blubbery Garden was Created in Imereti region within the framework of United Agro-Project

Blubbery garden was cultivated by Ltd Agro+ within the project Plant the Future in Imereti region.Levan Dolidze, manager of the program Plant the Future of the Agricultural Project Management Agency, together with the representatives of local authority visited the Agro+ garden of one of the beneficiaries in Gubistskali, Tskaltubo region. The mentioned beneficiary was involved in 2015 and received state funding in the amount of 100 000 Lari for the cultivation of blubbery garden on 8.4 hectare area and arrangement of irrigation system. 90,038 Lari out of the total amount of received funding was intended for young plants and 9,961 Lari was intended for the dripping irrigation systems. Several fruit gardens of perennial crops have been cultivated on the 86.2 hectare area in the region within the frameworks of the program Plant the Future and the financing spent for the above mentioned activity amounted 454 055 Lari. The area cultivated within the country in respect of new fruit gardens and arrangement of irrigation system amounts 1 519 hectares and the amount of financing is more than 7.8 million Lari. implementation of the project in 2015 on the basis of the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. The main goal of the program is to promote the increase of intended use of agricultural lands, cultivation of perennial gardens and assistance in cultivation of nursery gardens in all municipalities of Georgia (except Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Poti). The amount of co-financing of the state within the agro-project Plant the Future amounts: In case of cultivation of garden - 70% of young plants and 50 % of dripping irrigation system; In case of nursery garden - 50 % of the total cost for the creation of such garden. 5 million GEL will be spent for the implementation of the program Plant the Future in 2016 for the modern nurseries and gardens. That will promote the process of import replacement in the market and the increase of export potential.Agricultural Projects Management Agency has been implementing large-scale projects since 2013, that are designed for long-term development and is purposed to create the environment that will promote the rise of competitiveness in agriculture, stable increase in the production of high quality products and introduction of International food safety standards.
