The VAZI-1 Ltd planted the walnut orchard in Kakheti region within the scopes of the Plant the Future program. Mr. Levan Dolidze, the Manager of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency program "Plant the Future and Mr. Irakli Kadagishvili, the Governor of Kakheti visited the orchard of one of the beneficiaries VAZI-1 Ltd in Jughaani village, Telavi region. The program participant beneficiary was involved in the program in 2015 and got 57 801 GEL state funding for cultivation of 11.77 hectares walnut orchard and arrangement of irrigation system. From the funding above 36 569 GEL was intended for seedlings and 21 232 GEL - for dripping systems. 1 005.13 ha of land planted with a variety of multi-cultural orchards within the scopes of the program "Plant the Future" in Kakheti region, while the funding issued under the project amounted to 4 212 696 GEL. The arranged area for cultivation of new orchards and irrigation system in the whole country covers 3 017.57 hectares at present and the financing exceeds 14.4 million GEL. The Agricultural Project Management Agency is implementing the United Agro-Project within the scopes of the "Produce in Georgia for Fast Development; the Agro-Project is designed for long-term development and its goal is to foster an environment that will promote agricultural competitiveness, steady growth of high-quality production as well as implementation of the international food safety standards.
