Ploughing activities in nearly 11 villages of Shida Kartli region located nearby the so called demarcation line are actively going on within the project for the assistance of small farmers in spring work 2016. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Iuri Nozadze , general Director of LTD Mechanization Paata Shekiladze and acting governor of Shida Kartli Soso Okromelidze got aquainted with ploughing activities in the village Zadiantkari, Lamiskana community of Kaspi region.. ,,The villages located nearby the demarcation line are in special need of assistance from the side of state. The Ministry of Agriculture has been implementing the project for the assistance of spring activities for 4 years, that is oriented to render maximum assistance to small farmers. The State provides the assistance to the farmers in the most important work-ploughing process. This year approximately 800,000 small farmers will receive the assistance within the program, - Iuri Nozadze stated. Ploughing activities in nearly 11 vilages Zadiantkari, Tvaurebi, Arbo, Nikozi, Tkiavi, shavshvebi, Avlevi, Dvani, Dirbi and so on located nearby the demarcation line is implemented only by the state LTD Mechanization.This year 232.86 hectare will be cultivated in the village Zadiantkari, lamiskana community. Approximately 406 farmers got the ploughing cards and 169 farmers agro cards. The works are implemented by five tractors of LTD Mechanization. 69049 farmers will benefit through the project for the assistance of spring works 2016 for small farmers. 16097 beneficiaries received agricultural, ploughing card (140 GEL for one hectare). Agro bonuses shall be placed on the agro cards of the local population that will enable them to by fertilizers, seed material, plant care products and plants.Assistance project for small farmers started in February 2016 and will finish in December 2016.
