New Greenhouse in Mtskheta Municipality
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Giorgi Chkheidze, together with Gocha Zeikidze, Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and Mariana Morgoshia, Director of Agricultural Projects' Management Agency, have visited LLC Mukhran Agro- a modern-standards equipped green-house farming. The above-stated farming has been established at the Municipality of Mtskheta-Mtianeti under the united Agro-Project framework in March of 2015. An enterprise, where about 15 persons have been employed, produces 40 tons of tomatoes. The realization of production is implemented through the local market. Totally, US $ 129,090 investments was made in the company of Mukhrani Agro Enterprise, of which the US $ 99,175 is the amount of the Preferential Agro-Credit sum and the remaining US 29,915 is the amount of the Beneficiarys Investment. It is noteworthy, that at the Region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, since the year of 2013 6 new enterprises have been established (Full investment-US $ 2,589,644, Preferential Agro-Credit amount- US $ 1,349,175, the grant- US $ 592,000, and its own share US $ - 648,469).Since the year of 2013, the Agricultural Projects Management Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia has been implementing the various projects. Within the scope of the Project, the preferential agro-credit loans are granted in order to establish new enterprises, as well as for the expansion of the existing ones. Currently, more than 700 operating and 154 new enterprises have been financed under the project framework.The financial support offered by the state encouraged the entrepreneurs to develop and expand their business productions.Agricultural Projects Management Agency implements an integrated Agro Project, which is targeted on the long-term development and its aim is to promote to increase the competitiveness within the agricultural sector, the steady growth of a high-quality production and provision of food safety and food security issues.
