In Sighnaghi municipality, the new storage facility of the agricultural cooperative Alazani was launched within the framework of the UnitedAgro Project with the financial support of the state. The investments in the enterprise, equipped according to the modern standards, amounted more than 1 million GEL in total, including a grant of 600,000 GEL. The cold storage facility can accommodate 1100 tons of fruits and vegetables. The cooperative plans to sell its products in the local market. 15 locals are employed at the cooperative enterprise.

Giorgi Jibladze, Deputy Director of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency, together with the acting State Attorney - Governor in the Kakheti Region, Irakli Shioshvili, visited the newly opened enterprise.

82 new enterprises have been financed by the state in the Kakheti region within the framework of the United AgroProject. The created infrastructure provides for the storage and processing of products of Georgian farmers, - stated Giorgi Jibladze.

According to the acting State Attorney - Governor in the Kakheti region, Irakli Shioshvili, a number of enterprises are being established in the region, which contributes to economic strengthening.

The United Agroproject implemented by the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency, is designed for long-term development and aims to create an environment that will promote competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products, introduction of international food safety standards.
