Position: Leading Specialist at the Tsalka Information and Consulting Center

The Rural Development Agency implements projects and programs initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and carries out extension activities in the field of agriculture across 54 municipalities of the country. The agency's goal is to support rural and agricultural development.

N(N)LE - Rural Development Agency announces a vacancy for the position of Leading Specialist at the Tsalka Information and Consulting Center.

Workplace: Kvemo Kartli Region, Tsalka Municipality, Tsalka City

Salary: 1,700 GEL (net)

Working schedule: 09:00–18:00

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the employees of the Information and Consulting Center (hereinafter – the Center), plan the tasks to be performed, coordinate the workflow, and monitor execution.
  • Distribute tasks among center employees, supervise and control task completion.
  • Make decisions on issues within the competence of the Center.
  • Process various types of information and prepare reports within the scope of authority as assigned by the management.
  • Work in coordination with agencies under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture on matters within competence.
  • Conduct agricultural extension activities with interested parties in the municipality.
  • Organize/arrange field and office meetings.
  • Provide sector-specific (theoretical and practical) recommendations via office, field, and telephone consultations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly reports on the activities of the Center to the management.
  • Organize and participate in work meetings, resolve organizational matters.
  • Participate in events supporting the development of agricultural cooperation in the municipality.
  • Manage incoming correspondence at the Center, ensure material and electronic documentation.
  • Identify problems in the agricultural sector in the municipality, process and analyze relevant information.
  • Organize regular informational meetings with the population regarding the agency’s policies and projects/programs and participate within the scope of authority.
  • Upon management's request, ensure collection, analysis, and accurate recording of data related to agricultural land usage, crop harvests, product production volumes, etc.
  • Fulfill other instructions and assignments related to the work, within the scope of authority.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Higher education in the field of agriculture.
  • At least 2 years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of computer office programs.
