A memorandum was signed between the Rural Development Agency and the German Savings Banks Fund

The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Ilia Tamarashvili, the Director of the Rural Development Agency and Ms. Salome Moygurilishvili, the local representative of the German Savings Banks Foundation (DSIK).

The German Savings Bank Foundation (DSIK), with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is implementing the project "Promoting the Sustainable Development of Small and Micro Entrepreneurs in Regions by Increasing Access to Finance".

Within the framework of the Memorandum, the cooperation between the parties provides for the development of educational resources, invitation of local experts and technical provision; The Foundation will organize the training of trainers for the representatives of the information-consulting centers of the Rural Development Agency and will retrain the extensionists.

The purpose of cooperation is to support agro-entrepreneurs and develop entrepreneurial risk management skills with the involvement of the regional centers of the Rural Development Agency, also, raising the level of economic activity of the target groups in the context of increasing access to finance in the agricultural sector. The project is designed to help improve the standard of living in the regions and reduce the outflow of population from the regions.
