As part of the events dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day, the Rural Development Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is holding various thematic activities in the city of Rustavi.
Georgia's Independence Day is being celebrated across the country with various events organized by the Government Administration.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, Georgia was represented with a national pavilion at the World of Private Label International Trade Show held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, eight Georgian companies participated in the international exhibition “Caspian Agro 2026” held in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan.
A representative of a European-accredited laboratory operating in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Jens Decker, conducted a seminar on the EN 16510 standard regulating the safety, efficiency, and environmental impact of solid fuel heating devices.
The trainings were opened by the Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Giorgi Avaliani, and the Coordinator of the Tbilisi Office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Salih Ozer.

The international exhibition Saudi Food Show planned in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will no longer be held on June 15–17, 2026, taking into account the ongoing events in the region.
In 2026, the budget of the state agroinsurance program amounts to 17 million GEL, which is 2 million GEL more compared to the previous year. Within the framework of the program, the state will finance 70% of the insurance policy premium for each insured person, which applies to all crops included in the program.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, six Georgian companies are participating in the international exhibition “Foodex Japan 2026”, held in Tokyo, Japan.
Within the framework of the “Preferential Agrocredit Project,” the Rural Development Agency will co-finance the interest rate on loans issued for the purpose of cultivating annual crops. The decision was made at today’s government meeting.
To receive co-financing for harvesting agricultural machinery, it will be possible to fill out an electronic application starting from March 16 at 12:00 on the Rural Development Agency’s website rda.gov.ge. Applications will be accepted until the exhaustion of the current year’s program budget of 5 million GEL.
