Georgian Blueberry, supported by state programs implemented by the Rural Development Agency, has become one of the most in-demand products both in the local and international markets. In February 2025, heavy snowfall damaged the sector, creating the need to support blueberry producers so that they can carry out the necessary work in their orchards on time, in accordance with the agricultural calendar.
By the decree of the Government of Georgia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture's Rural Development Agency has established a special assistance program to provide financial support to beneficiaries affected by the heavy snowfall in February 2025 in the regions of Imereti and Guria.

With the changes made to the Co-financing Program for Harvesting Agricultural Machinery, the total amount of co-financing provided by the Rural Development Agency for the purchase of harvesting agricultural machinery has increased from 150,000 GEL to 250,000 GEL.
During the current season, 45,380 hazelnut farmers were allocated agro-points worth 15.8 million GEL to carry out pest and disease control measures in hazelnut orchards across 31,673 hectares. Over 6.2 million GEL has already been redeemed at specialized agro-stores.
Applications will be accepted starting July 8 at 12:00 PM and will continue until the program's budget of 5 million GEL is fully allocated.

As part of the events dedicated to Georgia's Independence Day, the Rural Development Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture hosted citizens at the central square in the city of Telavi.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, ten Georgian companies—“Natsji,” “Kula,” “Aromaproduct,” “May 2020,” “Kampa,” “Wellington,” “Kareli Fruit,” “Cooperative Ruispiri - Winemaking Ikalto,” “Achinebuli,” and “Green Gold”—participated in the exhibition held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the city of Amsterdam.
According to the decision made at the Government of Georgia session, farmers benefiting from the state agro-insurance program in villages adjacent to the occupation dividing line will receive increased co-financing.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, seven Georgian companies presented their agricultural products at the international agricultural exhibition “CASPIAN AGRO 2025” held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
