The Rural Development Agency is launching the application process for participation in the "Program for Supporting Entrepreneurial Activities in Mountainous Settlements" for the current year

Applications will be accepted starting July 8 at 12:00 PM and will continue until the program's budget of 5 million GEL is fully allocated.

The program was launched in 2023, and as of today, the government has already co-financed 114 business ideas with over 9 million GEL.

Under the program, the co-financing per potential beneficiary is no less than 30,000 GEL and no more than 100,000 GEL, but not exceeding 50% of the total value of the proposed project. An additional 10% benefit is available for young entrepreneurs and agricultural cooperatives. The total value of the project must not exceed 500,000 GEL at the time of application.

It’s worth noting that the program will finance both agricultural (excluding primary production) and non-agricultural activities, including storage and processing facilities, wineries, small family-run hotels, food establishments, and any other business idea, except those restricted by the program.

The goal of the program is to stimulate the development of the private sector and the creation of new jobs in mountainous areas through co-financing. It also aims to encourage young entrepreneurs and promote economic activity.
