Presentation of the State Agro Co-financing Program Held in the Samtskhe-Javakheti Region
The Rural Development Agency introduced the new State Agro Co-financing Program to representatives of the local government and self-government, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
The participants of the meeting received detailed information about the objectives of the program, funding conditions, and areas of support.
Within the framework of the program, funding is provided for the establishment of perennial crops, greenhouse farms, livestock and poultry farms, beekeeping, aquaculture and mariculture farms, the establishment of facilities (slaughterhouses) intended for the slaughter of food-producing animals, as well as the establishment of processing and storage enterprises.
The program is available to registered individual entrepreneurs or legal entities.
The total amount of the Agency’s co-financing under the program is determined at no more than GEL 2 million. Farmers interested in establishing dairy farms benefit from different conditions.
Within the framework of the program, the Agency’s co-financing is determined at up to 50% of the total cost of the submitted project, while for agricultural cooperatives, as well as for projects implemented in villages adjacent to the occupation line and in high mountainous settlements, it is determined at up to 55%.
The meeting was attended by Irakli Topuria, Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Besik Macharashvili, Acting Deputy Director, Giorgi Kochiashvili, First Deputy State Representative in the Samtskhe-Javakheti Region, and Deputy State Representative Sergi Mushkudiani.
