Farmers interested in establishing perennial orchards may submit applications to participate in the “Plant the Future” program to the Rural Development Agency until February 28 of the current year

Within the orchard component of the “Plant the Future” program, financing covers up to 70% of the cost of purchased seedlings. For agricultural-status cooperatives, as well as for villages adjacent to the dividing line and high-mountain settlements, funding covers up to 80%.

The presentation of the application, which provides farmers with recommendations for carrying out agricultural activities based on weather conditions, was attended by the Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Giorgi Avaliani, and the National Coordinator of the Early Warning Systems Project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ketevan Skhireli.
