A blueberry nursery was organized in Sartichala

The production of blueberry seedlings has been launched by Georgian-Polish Company “Agromax Décor”, in village Sartichala, Gardabani municipality. The company has invested more than GEL 500,000, with more than GEL 350,000 co-financing from the Rural Development Agency, for the arrangement of a blueberry nursery.

Blueberry seedlings are being produced in the nursery arranged with the Georgian-Polish investment, which was financed within the framework of the state program. “This is particularly important as our new nursery gardens are built mainly with imported seedlings, and now we already have a nursery that will supply the market with locally produced seedlings”, said Ilia Tamarashvili, the Director of the Rural Development Agency, while introducing the activities of the blueberry nursery launched by the company “Agromax Décor”.  

In the nursery, where 200,000 seedlings of 4 varieties of blueberry are produced, 40 local people are employed. “Agromax Décor” is a qualified nursery registered within the state program “Plant the Future”.

11 nurseries have been financed within the framework of the state program “Plant the Future”. The amount of investment is more 5 million Lari, the co-financing of the Rural Development Agency exceeds 3 million Lari.
