In Akhaltsikhe Municipality, Samtskhe-Javakheti region, a new poultry farm - “Meskheti Poultry-Farming” funded under the “United AgroProject” is functioning; the company used the “preferential AgroCredit” project of the Ministry of Agriculture for building up the enterprise. The enterprise was opened in September 2015, in which 20 local residents are employed. About 23 000 eggs are produced in the Meskheti Poultry-farming the day. Products are mainly sold in local market.
