Trainings are being conducted for the members of livestock agricultural cooperatives within the project of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Training participants will receive detailed information about the measures to be carried out in the farm in accordance with the requirements of Georgian legislation.
By using this information in practice, the livestock cooperatives will be able to manage farms in accordance with modern requirements, which will have a positive impact on the quality and quantity of products produced.
The two-day training covers the following issues: major infectious and vector diseases of cattle, protection of the farm from animal diseases, non-communicable diseases, proper use of veterinary drugs, requirements for primary production, cow breeds, cow care, dry and milking cow feed and more.
Trainings for livestock agricultural cooperatives are conducted within the project "Safety and Quality Investment in Livestock - SQIL" in cooperation with the Cooperative Development Fund and the Rural Development Agency and the Environmental Information and Education Center.
Within the framework of the project "Safety and Quality Investment in Livestock - SQIL, it is planned to conduct a total of 8 trainings in Tbilisi and the regions and train more than 100 livestock farmers.
The SQIL project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The project is implemented by the American organization Land O'Lakes Venture 37 in partnership with the Georgian Farmers Association.
