Receiving applications in the "Co-financing program for agricultural equipment in mountainous regions" continues
In order to increase access to small-scale agricultural machinery for farmers living in mountainous settlements, the Rural Development Agency implements a special program "Co-financing program for agricultural machinery in mountainous settlements". The budget of the program is 5 million GEL.
As a result of the registration in the program announced on May 21 of this year, as of May 23, the Rural Development Agency has received more than 3,000 applications for funding of approximately 4.3 million GEL. The agency continues to accept applications until the budget is exhausted.
Financing under the program can be received by a natural person with the status of a permanent resident in a mountainous settlement, who owns a plot of agricultural land in a mountainous settlement.
Within the framework of the program, 70% of the cost of small-sized (from 7 HP) agricultural machinery to be purchased by people living in the highlands will be financed. The co-financing limit is different depending on the capacities of agricultural machinery and does not exceed 2500 GEL.
Taking into account the fact that the population in the highland settlements owns small plots of agricultural land, the demand for hand tractors (motoblocks) is high. The mentioned state program was created with these needs of farmers in mind.
