Within the framework of the United Agroproject a new livestock farm has been launched in Kareli municipality
In Shida Kartli region, Kareli municipality, the cooperative Young Farmer" has built a dairy cattle-breeding farm. GEL 700,000 was spent for the construction of the farm, out of which GEL 300,000 is Preferential agro-credit and GEL 60,000 is a grant received from the program Young Entrepreneur.
6 local people are employed at the cooperative and the products produced on the farm are sold in the local market. The farm currently has 50 livestock of high-yielding variety (Holstein). Up to 1 ton of milk is produced daily on the farm.
Ilia Tamarashvili, the Director of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency, together with the representatives of the local self-government visited the farm of the Cooperative Young Farmer participating in the public programs in the village Kvenatkotsa, Kareli Municipality and got acquainted with the work process.
It should be noted that with the financial support of the state, 28 new enterprises, including dairy and fruit processing enterprises, greenhouses, etc., have been opened in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region within Shida Kartli region.
The Agricultural and Rural Development Agency is implementing a UnitedAgroproject aimed at long-term development and its goal is to create an environment that will support competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products, and introduction of international food safety standards.
