New Trout farm in Kharagauli Municipality under the Framework of the "United Agroproject "
The trout farm in the municipality of Kharagauli, furnished with the modern equipment and created within the framework of the "Unified Agroproject" was visited by the Manager of the "Preferential Agro-credit" Project of the Ministry of Agriculture Projects, Valery Kvachrelishvili and the Deputy Governor of Imereti Region George Mikeladze.
The trout farm "Lomis Mta" Ltd. produces 30 tons of fish annually. Produced products are sold at the local market.
The enterprise is the beneficiary of the industrial Project "Preferential Agrocredit". The US $ 250,000 was invested in the enterprise in total, of which US $ 135,000 is the Preferential Agro-credit and US $ 115,000 is the own investment of the Beneficiary.
Since 2013 the Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has been implementing various projects to create new enterprises. Within the framework of the Project, the preferential loans are issued both for the founding of new enterprises and for the expansion of existing ones. At this stage, the project has already financed more than 845 existing and 170 new enterprises. 10 new enterprises were established and 77 enterprises were expanded In Imereti region.
The Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, within the framework of "Produce in Georgia-Business", implements the ""Unified Agroproject", designed for the long-term development and its purpose is to create an environment that will increase the competitiveness in Agriculture, the steady growth of production of high quality products and the introduction of International Food Safety Standards.
