Director of the Rural Development Agency, Davit Tsitladze and extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Georgia in the republic of Latvia, Irakli Kurashvili, at the Georgian stand hosted to the president of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics and the minister of agriculture of the republic of Latvia – Didzis Smith. 

"The market of the Baltic countries is very important for our agro-food exports. Today we are at the biggest regional exhibition RIGA FOOD, where by the organization of the Rural Development Agency are represented 8 Georgian companies. Our goal is to support Georgian companies in exporting their products to the international markets," said Davit Tsitlidze, director of the Rural Development Agency. 

With support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and organization of Rural Development Agency, at the international exhibition in c. Riga RIGA FOOD 2023, 8 Georgian company has shown agricultural production produced by them to the visitors. 

At the exhibition were represented Georgian nuts, wine, natural juice, lemonade, plum, fragrants, honey and various alcoholic beverages. 

The exhibition RIGA FOOD 2023 had more than 20,000 visitors. In the current year, in the exhibition participated 25 countries and more than 400 local and international companies acting in the agriculture sector. RIGA FOOD opened on September 7 and completed on September 9.
