Under the Small Farmers 2015 Spring Works Support Program the ploughing works are in active phase in Dusheti. Today, the project manager MR. David Kiknadze, representative from LLC Mechanizatori and mr/Vaja Chokheli Municipal councilor of Dusheti were familiarized with the ongoing spring works in Dusheti. This year, 12,544 farmers have been involved in the Small Farmers 2015 Spring Works Support Program, out of whom 6,922 beneficiaries were granted an Agro Card. 1,877 hectare of land is already ploughed in Dusheti and the remaining 350 hectares will be cultivated before 1st of December. The ploughing works are performed by six tractors of Mekanizatori LLC together with other contracting parties. 800000 farmers are involved in the Small Farmers 2015 Spring Works Support Programme; 207,995 hectare of land has already been cultivated throughout Georgia.Upon the initiative of the Government of Georgia the Spring Works Support Programme was launched in 2013 by the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, and this year is the last stage of the Programme. The Small Farmers 2015 Spring Works Support Programme started in February and will finish on 1st of December.
