Farmers can register and get discounts on agro-diesel remotely via the website"Farmers are enjoying the benefits provided by the agro-diesel promotion program.The Rural Development Agency, together with SOCAR Georgia Petroleum,has been implementing the program for the second year in a row.

This year it is a novelty in the program - farmers can register and get a discount on agrodiesel through the website my.mepa.gov.ge ", - said Agrodiesel program manager mr. Levan Urotadze.

Levan Urotadze, Manager of the Agro-Diesel Support Program and Archil Khandamashvili, Mayor of Gurjaani Municipality, got acquainted with the progress of the agro-diesel support program together with the representative of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum.

Nationwide, diesel is delivered according to the established schedule: from February 1 to March 31, no more than 2,000 liters of fuel will be issued, from April 1 to April 30 - an additional 1,500 liters, and from May 1 to December 31 - the remaining quantity. The program envisages the issuance of fuel discount cards in the amount of 150 liters per 1 hectare, and on more than 100 hectares of agricultural land, not more than 15,000 liters.

Farmers can also get discount cards at the regional offices of the Rural Development Agency. The program is implemented on the basis of a memorandum signed between the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, and no budget funds are spent on it.
