A greenhouse KNG Hospitality equipped with modern standards was arranged in Mtskheta Municipality with the financial support of the state.

Ilia Tamarashvili, Director of the Rural Development Agency and Gocha Kavtaradze, Deputy State Representative in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region visited the new farm.

The agricultural development policy implies supporting the development of all links in the value chain. To this end, the Rural Development Agency implements state programs and projects. The greenhouse farm, which was established within the framework of the agricultural production promotion program, is an example of the introduction of modern technologies in production for the first time, - said Ilia Tamarashvili, Director of the Rural Development Agency.

According to Gocha Kavtaradze, Deputy State Representative in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, a number of projects are being implemented in the region with the support of the Rural Development Agency, which is a pleasant fact.

The greenhouse is placed on an area of ​​2000 square meters. The farm can produce 10 tons of strawberries per year. The products are sold in the local market under the brand Mageme.

A total of 350,000 GEL was invested in the greenhouse, including a state grant of 50,000 GEL and a preferential agro-credit of 150,000 GEL.

In the frames of the Rural Development Agency programs, state grants and soft loans are issued both for the creation of new enterprises and for the expansion of existing ones. At this stage, more than 40 new enterprises have been established in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.
