Mr. Giorgi Khanishvili, First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, visited the demonstration plot of the Agricultural Logistics and Services Company Ltd and he got acquainted with the process of potato harvesting.

"The Agricultural Logistics and Services Company is returning to its main function, which is to test industrial varieties. The company has already received seed barley and seed potatoes, which will be sold through the auction. Potato yield per hectare is at least 35-40 tons, which is a very good result, and most importantly, it is a quality product Mr. Giorgi Khanishvili declared.

According to Mr. Giorgi Beruashvili, an agronomist of the Agricultural Logistics and Services Company, as a result of variety testing, Marfona demonstrated itself to be an advanced variety that has shown good results in different periods in terms of both yield and adaptation to local climatic conditions. The Agricultural Logistics and Services Company Ltd monitors 25 different varieties of potatoes in Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

In Akhalkalaki municipality, a potato demonstration plot is located on an area of ​​10 hectares, where "Marfona" potatoes are grown in full compliance with agro-technical works.
