Meeting with the representatives of self-governments of each region of Georgia are held by the decision of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia.

The meetings are organized by the agency of the Ministry by Agriculture and Rural Development Agency of Georgia.

Meeting with the representatives of self-government of Kakheti region and local government was held in Kvareli.

Irakli Kadagishvili, the State Attorney Governor of Kakheti region and Ilia Tamarashvili, the Director of Agriculture and Rural Development of Georgia gave the speech to participants of the meeting.

Importance of involvement of the representatives of self-government through viewpoint of awareness of farmers about the state programs was underlined by Ilia Tamarashvili. He also stated that the programs of agricultural and rural development will ensure the creation of additional value, work places and income increase.

In 2019 year, for support of local entrepreneurs and farmers and for support of agricultural cooperatives development, number of special programs in Kakheti region were implemented by the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency. It should be noted that last year the sum compensated in Kakheti region within the frameworks of agricultural insurance exceeded 2 million GEL.

Presentations on ongoing and planned projects were provided at the meeting by the representatives of relevant agencies of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia.

The mechanisms of increase of availability om information about accomplished, ongoing and planned programs and services were discussed at the meeting by the representatives of the Ministry and agencies subordinated to the Ministry.
