By the decision of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, meetings are being held with the representatives of the self-government of all regions of Georgia. At the meetings, the mechanisms for increasing access to information on current programs and services implemented and planned by the Ministry and agencies in the Ministry are being discussed.

A regular regional meeting with the representatives of the local self-government was held in Zugdidi. The stakeholders were welcomed by Davit Partsvania, First Deputy State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region and Giorgi Jibladze, the Deputy Director of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.

The involvement of local authorities is important for raising awareness of entities involved in agriculture. The state is implementing a number of important projects that have resulted in increased production and sales in the agrarian sector. For the purpose of increase of access to government projects, it is important to provide information to entrepreneurs and farmers. - said Giorgi Jibladze.

At the meeting, the representatives of relevant agencies of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture presented presentations on ongoing and planned projects.

Discussions were also held to discuss the challenges related to involvement of the local population in the state programs.

The meetings are organized by the Agency of the Ministry - Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.
