In scopes of the United Agroproduct a newly opened storing enterprise was put into operation in Zugdidi

In frames of the United Agricultural Product, a beneficiary of the Program of Supporting of Agricultural Production, - Ltd. Vago arranged a 100 sq.m freezer for storing of fruits and vegetables. The storing enterprise is situated in the village Ingiri, Zugdidi District. An investment equal to 34 300 was implemented for construction of the plant, 13 720 lari from the stated amount was granted to the farmer. The Granting Manager of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, Tornike Kapanadze, and the Chairman of the Zugdidi Administration Mamuka Tsotseria visited the newly constructed storing enterprise. According to the Granting Manager of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, Tornike Kapanadze, active development of the agricultural activity in Zugdidi District with the support of the Government and creating of the storing enterprise necessary for this sector is very important. In addition to the above-stated, the Ltd. Vago also enjoys another state project, named Preferential Agricultural Credit, and in frames of the mentioned project opened a nut processing enterprise. The Agricultural Projects Management Agency is implementing the Agricultural Production Supporting Program under the support of the Agriculture Modernization, Market Access and Resilience Project (AMMAR). The Program is financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Global Environmental Fund (GEF). Co-financing of the Agency stipulated by the Program reaches 40% of the total cost of the represented project, and co-participation of the beneficiary 60%. Since the date of launching of the project till now 125 beneficiaries have received funds, and co-financing of the Government has exceeded 2 750 000 lari. The Agricultural Projects Management Agency, in scopes of the Produce in Georgia Business, is implementing the United Agroproject, which is designed for long-termed development and is focused on creation of a kind of the environment which will support increasing of competitiveness in the agricultural sector, sustainable upgrading of production of high quality products, and implementing of international standards applicable in the field of safety of food.
