New greenhouse facility has been arranged in Mtskheta region within the framework of United AgroProject
Giorgi Suladze, the beneficiary of the state program of agro-production promotion, has arranged greenhouse facility in Mtskheta Municipality, village Mukhrani. 31734 GEL was invested in the facility, in which about 30 tons of various types of salad leaves (Lactuca sativa) are cultivated, 12694 GEL of which was awarded as a Grant to the farmer by the State. Tornike Kapanadze, the manager of Agricultural Projects Management Agency, visited the greenhouse facility with Tamaz Sujashvili, deputy governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and the representatives of local self-government.
The Program of agro-production promotion is implemented within the framework of the Agriculture Modernization, Market access and Resilience project (AMMAR).The program is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The co-financing of the Agency under the program amounts to 40% of the total cost of the project, and the co-participation of the beneficiary amounts to 60%. Since the initiation of the project to the present 339 beneficiaries received financing and the amount of state co-financing amounted to 6204 955 GEL.
Agricultural Project Management Agency is implementing the "United AgroProject", which is intended for a long-term development and aims at creating such an environment which shall promote the enhancement of competitiveness in Agriculture, stable growth of production of high quality products and the establishment of international standards of food safety.
