New enterprise in Ambrolauri Municipality

Grape processing enterprise Zedashe Ltd, equipped with modern standards was established in the Ambrolauri municipality within the framework of the United AgroProject of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency. With the support of the state, the enterprise took advantage of more than $ 550,000 preferential agro-credit. Revaz Asatiani, the director of the Agriculture Projects Management Agency visited the new enterprise, along with the Governor of Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti region, Archil Japaridze. 65 people shall be employed in the enterprise, where more than 60 tons of grapes are to be processed annually, during the season. The product will be realized on the local market. The enterprise is actively involved in the vintage 2018 and grapes are delivered not only from its own vineyards but from local wine growers as well. It is worth noting that in Racha region several tones of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli are expected to be harvested. 1080 tons of grapes have already been delivered to the enterprises. By this time, viticulturists revenues have reached 7,3 million GEL. Since 2013, the Agriculture Projects Management Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture has been implementing various projects for creating new enterprises. Within the projects, preferential loans will be issued for the creation of new enterprises, as well as for the expansion of existing ones. For the present, more than 800 operating and 180 new enterprises have already been funded under the project.
