Field laboratory equipment was handed over to the municipal centers of the Rural Development Agency

Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli regional offices of the Rural Development Agency have been equipped with field laboratory equipment and digital technique.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project "Growth in Georgia" has provided special equipment to 17 Rural Information and Consulting Municipal Centers of the Rural Development Agency to measure soil, plant and water micro and macro parameters. Extension services were also provided with special tools and tablets needed for the field consultation.

The event was attended by Mr. Giorgi Pantsulaia, First Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Mr. Davit Nozadze, Governer of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Ms. Keti Chumburidze, Director of the USAID Project Growth in Georgia.

The laboratory equipment and digital technique provided by the Growth in Georgia project are an important support for improving the extension activities of the Rural Development Agency. Our priority is to help farmers to enable them quickly and efficiently to overcome the challenges, for which it is necessary to provide comprehensive agro-consultations on the farms, "- declared Giorgi Pantsulaia, the First Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency.

Information-consulting centers were provided with the equipment, which is used for field work. This project will promote the development of different cultures, which will be reflected on the well-being of the population, improve their social and economic situation,- said Davit Nozadze, the Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.

"Extension specialists already have the opportunity to test in the field and identify the problems that farmers face" - said Keti Chumburidze, the USAID Growth in Georgia Project Director.
