Farmers enjoy agricultural anti-crisis plan programs without hindrance

Farmers and entrepreneurs involved in agricultural activities receive significant support from the state under the Agricultural Anti-Crisis Plan "Caring for the Village and Farmers".

As of December 25:

  • As part of the state program to stimulate agricultural landowners, more than 183,700 farmers have already been accrued agro-scores. The amount of the accrued subsidy exceeds 31.5 million GEL, of which 27 million GEL has already been cashed in specialized trade facilities. Accrual of agro-scores continues.
  • Under the agro-diesel promotion program, more than 123,700 beneficiaries received agro-diesel discount cards of up to 32,000 tons. Farmers who have already cashed their discount cards saved in total up to 5.9 million GEL.
  • As of October 31, 2020, more than 17,000 policies have been issued under the agro-insurance program, more than 18,000 hectares of land are insured, which is 31% more than in the same period last year. The cost of the insured crop is 160 million GEL.
  • Within the framework of the state program on modernization of the dairy sector and market access, 120 agreements have been signed in Imereti, Kakheti, Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions; state co-financing amounted to more than 6.8 million GEL.
  • Under the preferential agro-credit program, the state fully covers the 6-month interest rate to finance the current costs of growing annual crops. 2,893 agro-loans were issued, the total amount of the loan exceeds 57 million GEL, including the co-financing of interest by the Agency exceeds 4.7 million GEL.
  • 384 contracts have been signed within the framework of the Agricultural Support Program, including 252 beneficiaries were financed with up to 50% of the cost of agricultural machinery. Beneficiaries were also funded to purchase fixed assets for the arrangement and modernization of the greenhouse and their installation work, purchase and installation of an irrigation system for annual crops. State co-financing amounted to more than 9.6 million GEL.
