The purpose of providing loans in the mentioned direction is to reduce the cost of working capital for farmers in growing annual crops and to promote the production of more quality agricultural products.

The objectives of the loans granted within the framework of the "Preferential Agrocredit" project included: financing the expenses incurred on the purchase of sowing and planting material of one-year crops, pesticides, organic and mineral fertilizers, biological means of plant protection, fuel and lubricants for machinery, as well as the hiring of labor and agricultural machinery.

The Rural Development Agency co-finances the 12-month interest of the given loan. The maximum amount of the loan's annual interest rate is set at 18%, half of which, 9% per annum, is financed by the state. Within the framework of the project, the amount of loan granted per beneficiary was determined from 5,000 GEL to 100,000 GEL inclusive.

Within the framework of sub-component of one-year crops financing of "concessional agro credit", financial institutions granted loans from March 22 of the current year to October 31, 2022.
