A conference was organized for the representatives of Guria Region self-government in Chokhatauri municipality by the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.The conference was opened by Zurab Nasaraia, the Governor of Guria and Giorgi Jibladze, the Deputy Director of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.

The representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture presented presentations on ongoing projects to the participants of the conference.

During the conference, a discussion was held on the challenges of involving local population in the state programs. The discussions ended up in question-answer mode. The participants of the conference were provided with comprehensive information on the programs implemented by the agencies of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

The Agricultural and Rural Development Agency will organize meetings for self-government representatives in all regions of Georgia. The purpose of the meetings is to increase awareness of and access to the state programs and services implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
