Informational meetings were conducted in different regions of Georgia for the purpose of rising awareness of farmers on the issues of development of biological agricultural sector and implementation of the climate-adapting agriculture. In frames of the above-mentioned meetings which were initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and supported by the USAID /REAP, the farmers had an opportunity to get acquainted with the trends of the world market of biological production, its potential and prospects. Farmers involved in the biological production and representative of different processing enterprises shared their own experience on general concepts and principles of organic production with participants of the meetings. The meetings were conducted with farmers in Samegrelo, Racha, Guria Regions and Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
