Revaz Asatiani, the Director of Agricultural Projects Management Agency met with the representatives of local self-government and farmers in Tskaltubo. Revaz Asatiani provided detailed information regarding the implemented and planned projects under the United AgroProject to the attendants. Farmers were mostly interested with the project of Greenhouse Cluster, the implementation of which is planned to commence since the second half of 2018 and which shall promote the creation of agro zone in Imereti region with the support of the government. The project aims at encouraging export potential of greenhouse green herbs and vegetables and promotion of availability of traditional export field on new markets. According to the Director of the Agency, it is very important that various agricultural projects are being implemented with the support of the government in which thousands of farmers are involved and their number is still increasing. After the meeting, the Director of the Agency visited the greenhouse facilities funded under the United AgroProject and the territory intended for building the greenhouse cluster. Agricultural Projects Management Agency is implementing the project United AgroProject under the project Produce in Georgia Business, the purpose of which is long-term development and aims at creating such an environment that will promote the enhancement of competitiveness in Agriculture, stable increase of high quality products and establishment of international standards for food safety.
