The increase of the budget in the direction of promoting Georgian agro-food products is of special importance

According to the law of Georgia on the state budget of Georgia for 2023, the budget in the agricultural sector has increased by 15.7%. This also takes into account increasing the budget of the co-financing project of processing and storage enterprises.

Honorary Consuls from more than 50 countries of the world participated in the event “Conference of Honorary Consuls of Georgia – cooperation for strong partnership”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Within the framework of the State Program for Rational Use of State-Owned Pastures in Mountainous Regions, it is possible to submit an application for the direction of the milk processing enterprise built in the village of Shuafkho, Dusheti municipality,  October 31 including, 2022.

Pilot program being accomplished in Marneuli and Lagodekhi municipalities, provides the co-financing the arrangement of greenhouse farms for women. Through the mentioned program, farmer women shall have the opportunity to organize the greenhouse on a small land plot and produce agricultural products throughout a year. 

The purpose of the loans issued under the Preferential Agro Credit project sub-component of financing annual crops includes sowing and planting material of annual crops, pesticides, organic and mineral fertilizers, plant protection biologics, equipment, fuel and lubricants, and machinery.

At the prime ministers initiative, on May 10 this year, the State Program for Supporting of Agricultural Land Owners was launched.
