At the working meeting, which was attended by the deputy director of the Rural Development Agency, Natalia Kharatishvili, attention was focused on issues such as risk assessment and management, corruption prevention measures and monitoring.  It should be noted that relevant recommendations will be prepared based on the information exchanged at the meeting.

The meeting held in order to share the experience of the National Paying Agency of Lithuania is one of the activities planned in the process of institutional reform of the Rural Development Agency, transformation of the Agency into a Paying Agency.

The Rural Development Agency is actively working to transform itself into a European-type paying agency in order to have access to the pre-accession instruments of countries in the process of joining the European Union (EU).
