Validity of the State Program of Promotion Non-Standard Apple sale was extended until December 15
In order to provide maximum support to the farmers in the process of selling crops, the validity of the State Program to Promote the Sale of Non-Standard Apples, has been extended until December 15.
Under the State Program, a subsidy of GEL 0.10 per 1 kg non-standard apples will be paid by the Rural Development Agency. The fruit processing companies that would buy 1 kg non-standard apples for not less than GEL 0.22 from individuals of fruit-growing sector will benefit from the state subsidy.
As of today, more than 47 thousand tons of apples have already been delivered within the framework of the State Program to Promote the Sale of Non-Standard Apples. As a result of this Program, farmers have earned more than 10 million lari. All in all, 14 companies are involved in the Program to Promote the Sale of Non-Standard Apples.
