The Non-Standard Apples Sale Promotion State Program was launched in September this year to support farmers in the process of crop settlement. Under the state program, the subsidy was 10 Tetri per 1 kg of non-standard apples. All fruit processing enterprises that could buy 1 kg of non-standard apples for not less than 22 Tetri from physical persons employed in the fruit-growing sphere could be included in the program. Within the framework of the state program, 14 fruit processing enterprises in Shida Kartli, Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions were supplied with non-standard apples.
In addition to the above, a special condition was introduced in the framework of the "Preferential Agro-Credit" project to facilitate the settlement of the apple crop. Enterprises involved in the Non-Standard Apple Sales Promotion Program could receive subsidized loans for working capital for the purpose of purchasing and processing non-standard apples.
