• Who can participate in the program?

    A program beneficiary can be a natural or legal person with whom a co-financing agreement has been or can be concluded under the Agency’s projects.

    Alternatively, it can be an agricultural cooperative, a non-commercial (non-profit) legal entity (association) created by at least 10 persons in the case of co-financing foreign consultant services, an agricultural cooperative with legal status, or a membership-based public law legal entity established by at least 10 persons under the Law of Georgia on “Water Users’ Organizations” and the Law of Georgia on “Public Law Legal Entities,” with whom an agreement can be concluded.

  • Where and in what form should the application be submitted to participate in the program?

    The completed application form and accompanying documentation can be submitted in physical form to the Rural Development Agency’s Administrative Department or to the regional offices and information-consultation centers. The application can also be sent by email to document@rda.gov.ge .

  • In the case of agricultural cooperatives, what type of equipment will be financed?

    Regarding equipment, financing will cover machinery and equipment necessary for giving the product produced by the agricultural cooperative its final marketable form, including labeling machines, cutters, dosing machines, weighing machines, filling machines, and date stampers.

  • Is it allowed to participate in two components simultaneously?

    A potential beneficiary can submit an application and accompanying documentation for two components at the same time (for example, in the components of co-financing the implementation and certification of international food safety management systems/standards and co-financing the creation of branding and/or packaging design).

  • Who should a potential beneficiary contact first when receiving funding from a donor organization?

    When a potential beneficiary is also receiving funding from a donor organization, they should initially contact the donor organization, provide the document confirming the funding, and only then submit an application to us.

  • In the case of trademark registration, is it possible to pay the registration fee in advance?

    Yes, it is allowed. In this case, the potential beneficiary must provide documents confirming full payment of the fee and the registration of the trademark, the issuance of which must not exceed six months from the submission of the application.
