About the program
If you are involved in the programs of the Rural Development Agency and wish to increase the competitiveness of your produced goods/services both in the domestic and international markets, the state offers support in the following areas:
- Product branding and packaging;
- Implementation of international food safety management systems and standards.
In the case of agricultural cooperatives, additional support is offered in the following areas:
- Co-financing for the purchase of equipment necessary for branding/final commercial presentation of products produced by agricultural cooperatives;
- Co-financing of a certified accounting course for a member-shareholder of an agricultural cooperative;
- Co-financing of the trademark registration cost for agricultural cooperatives.
Within the framework of the program, the following is also financed:
Co-financing of foreign consultant services — for a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity (association) consisting of at least 10 persons and/or an agricultural cooperative and/or a membership-based legal entity of public law established under the Law of Georgia on “Water User Organizations” and the Law of Georgia on “Legal Entities of Public Law,” with whom a contract may be concluded.
*Note: A co-financing agreement must be signed with the potential beneficiary within the Agency’s programs/projects, except in cases where the project purpose is: foreign consultant services, the purchase of equipment necessary for product branding/final commercial presentation by an agricultural cooperative, financing of a certified accounting course for a member-shareholder of an agricultural cooperative, and/or trademark registration by an agricultural cooperative.
